MIDWEST BATTLE BUDDIES

SERVING VETERANS, SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

OUR STORY

HOW MIDWEST BATTLE BUDDIES BEGAN

Hello, I am Chip Neumann. I come from a suburban middle class family, most of who served in the military. I did not serve myself, but in 2015 my partner in a dog training business came to me with the issue of Veterans coming to him with a need for service dog training. We found a lack of community help for the veterans, especially those with PTSD. Midwest Battle Buddies was born.

In 2016 after 36 years of service to a company I had devoted my life to, they decided our division would be shut down. I decided at that point I no longer was going to serve a corporate entity, but would devote myself to something that made a difference. I took a draw from my pension and decided to commit myself 100% to Midwest Battle Buddies.

I live In Rose Hill, Kansas with my wife Robin and our two dogs, Bubba and Nova. I have two grown daughters, Jessica and Jennifer and two grandsons, Tyson and Jaxon.

Aggie Guide-Dogs and Service-Dogs (AGS)

AGS logo

Aggie Guide-Dogs and Service-Dogs (AGS) is a student-run organization at Texas A&M University.

Their mission is to educate about, fundraise for, promote the training and use of service dogs, and to increase awareness about how these animals help the individuals with disabilities.

We partner with AGS for first-year training in cases where puppy care and training may be too much for our intended recipient. AGS will complete the first year of training, and when the dog graduates, they come to Wichita to finish training with their veteran.
